Port of Zeebrugge and Yugo sign MOU for cooperation in Lingang Overseas Modern Industrial Park
During the Belgian Economic Mission to the People’s Republic of China , the Port of Zeebrugge and logistics and trade company Yugo (Bear Logistic) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for their cooperation in the Lingang Overseas Modern Industrial Park in Zeebrugge, the company said in its release. The document was signed on Wednesday morning November 20 2019 in Shanghai by the CEO of Port of Zeebrugge, Mr. Joachim Coens, and Managing Director of Yugo , Mr. Yu Qingzhen.
Yugo is a professional logistics operator with extensive experience in international logistics. Its main activities are storage and transit from their three warehouses in Belgium and France, as well as door to door delivery between China and Europe. A few of their long term clients are Amazon, C-Discount and UPS.
Yugo is to relocate to the ‘Lingang Overseas Zeebrugge Modern Industrial Park’ in Zeebrugge in order to enhance the logistics service and operation between Belgium and China .
Yugo and the Port of Zeebrugge are devoted to provide e-commerce services between Belgium and China and to simplify the import of Belgian goods for Chinese merchandisers. Yugo will also facilitate and encourage more Chinese firms to interact with Belgian companies.
They have already signed contracts with a wide range of Chinese trade firms.
The port of Zeebrugge is one of the world’s foremost roll-on/roll-off and deep-sea container ports, where over 40 million tonnes of goods are transhipped annually. The wide range of intra-European services and intercontinental container services, together with an inland waterway, railway and road network, make Zeebrugge an ideal location to establish European distribution centres : Zeebrugge is an ultramodern logistic platform which is completely at the service of the European and intercontinental markets.
