Russia’s Rosmorrechflot and Ministry of Industry and Trade develop preferential leasing programme
Russia’s Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) and RF Ministry of Industry and Trade develop a programme for preferential leasing, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Yury Tsvetkov, Deputy Minister of Transport – head of Rosmorrechflot, as saying at the Plenary Session "International Cooperation in Shipbuilding. Focus on Russia" held as part of the 15th International Maritime Exhibition and Conferences of Russia, NEVA 2019.
“Together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rosmorrechflot is working on preferential leasing programme. We get STLC involved and hope that in the nearest future we will achieve results enabling the sector with limited off-budget financing and our IWW administrations undertake construction of dredgers and use the recent international technologies. We think that the mechanism of preferential leasing which is under increasingly high attention of the Government is among the most promising instruments making our ship owners believe that their shipbuilding project will be financed”, said Yury Tsvetkov.
