Rosmorrechflot set to build 2-3 conventional training ships
Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) is set to build 2-3 conventional training ships, Yury Tsvetkov, Deputy Minister of Transport – head of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), told IAA PortNews. According to him, pre-project works are to be completed by the Agency during the year of 2019 with the construction to take about three years after the decision is taken on the project implementation.
“We have initiated the construction of at least two, or three, training ships... When all the materials are ready we will address the Government and ask for support of our proposals. Simultaneously with that we will consider this issue at the level of the Marine Board”, said Yury Tsvetkov.
As of today, the Agency has only one non-sailing training ship – Professor Khlustin.
