Throughput of port Kaliningrad in 9M’18 grew by 5% Y-o-Y to 10.65 million tonnes
In January-September 2018, the port of Kaliningrad handled 10,657,300 tonnes of cargo, up 5%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo dropped by 24% to 1,779,800 tonnes including 819,900 tonnes of coal (+37%), 6,200 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (up 2.2 times and 941,400 tonnes of other cargoes (-46%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo grew by 22% to 3,272,500 tonnes, general cargo – by 32% to 1,266,400 tonnes.
The port also handled 849,100 tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (-22%) and 2.55 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+14%) including 1,563,800 tonnes of oil products (+29%), 427,800 tonnes of crude oil (-16%) and 523,500 tonnes of food cargo (+9%).
The port’s container throughput grew by 7%, year-on-year, to 199,443 TEUs.
