Detachment of RF Navy's Pacific Fleet completes visit to Republic of Korea
A detachment of the Pacific Fleet warships made up of the PF flagship Guards Order of Nakhimov missile cruiser Varyag and the major ASW ship Admiral Panteleyev completed a routine call at the Republic of Korea, where it had arrived on 10 October, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
During the entry period, the Pacific Fleet seamen paid courtesy visits to the Jeju naval base command and the Jeju Do province authorities. The ships of the Pacific Fleet took part in a naval parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Korea. The Russian sailors had an extensive excursion programme.
The PF forces are continuing to perform the distant cruise tasks.
