Federal Law on multiple crossings of State Border without passing control is officially published
Federal Law No 270-ФЗ dated 29 July 2018 “On introduction of amendments into the Russian Federation Law “On State Border of the Russian Federation” and certain legislation acts of the Russian Federation has been officially published.
According to the new law, in some cases vessels can cross the State Border several times without passing through border, customs and other types of control. It is applicable to Russian and foreign ships leaving Russian ports with subsequent entry to Russian port without entering inland sea waters or territorial sea of foreign states unless otherwise established by RF Government and to Russian vessels having passed border, customs and other types of control when leaving the Russian Federation and entering the Russian Federation without a purpose to enter Russian ports with subsequent leaving the territory of the Russian Federation.
Multiple crossing of the border by vessels is allowed if vessels comply with technical requirements (equipment with technical control facilities).
The law comes into effect one hundred eighty days after its official publication.
