Atomflot will need four 40-MW icebreakers running on LNG
FSUE Atomflot will need four 40-MW icebreakers running on liquefied natural gas (LNG), IAA PortNews correspondent cites Oleg Darbinyan, Fleet Maintenance Director, Atomflot, as saying at the 8th international conference “Logistics in the Arctic”.
“The key challenge is the logistics needed to determine the number of icebreakers required for execution of all tasks. Yet, it is already clear that we will need a 40-MW icebreaker running on LNG. Its design is under technical feasibility study. In the future, we will need four icebreakers of this type”, said Oleg Darbinyan.
