NIBULON continues reconstructing its shipyard’s slipway to be capable of launching 100-meter vessels
NIBULON continues a large-scale reconstruction of its capacities at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The company says it has put into operation two new workshops of its own shipbuilding and repair yard this year and has started to reconstruct a slipway, thereby enabling the shipyard to launch 100-meter vessels.
The specialists finish constructing the ninth and tenth slipway rail tracks; they carry out their alignment. At the same time, the specialists construct two lift systems, in particular cover a gravel pillow under water.
They finish constructing a building that will control lift systems and slipway rails. It will not be the ordinary building, but in a form of a tug with real portholes, anchor, etc. Such a building will not only become a symbolic decoration of the shipbuilding yard. We hope that it will become the object of special attention of the company’s guests.
NIBULON’s reliable partners, such as NK BUD, Hidrotekhmontazh, Yuzhelektromontazh, Kondratiuk Self-Employed Individual, Vladikos Private Company, Svitloliuks-elektromontazh, as well as the shipyard’s employees, are engaged in construction process at the shipbuilding yard. In total, about 100 persons are engaged in construction.
The first non-self-propelled B5000 project vessel (101 m length) will be the first vessel to be launched from the reconstructed slipway at the beginning of 2018.
NIBULON plans to construct five more rail tracks, thereby enabling the shipyard to construct and launch vessels of up to 140 m. This is the project length of the self-propelled P-140 project vessel with a capacity of 10,000 tons and with two cranes. It is planned to construct it next year.
