Development of maritime robotic system for offshore application started in Russia
Development of a unique complex maritime robotic system for offshore application has been started in Russia. The project will be presented by the MariNet working group of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) at the NEVA-2017 International Exhibition (Saint-Petersburg, September 19-21), says MariNet.
To ensure the development of offshore projects scientific community should offer new technological solutions allowing for large scale development of resources. Obviously, offshore projects development requires the most cost-effective and safe technologies.
In this respect, Scientific Production Association “Android Technics” has offered a project of an underwater antropomorphic complex “Robotic Shelf”.
Complex maritime robotic system provides the interaction of the underwater, surface and air unmanned vehicles. Intellectual information management system (IMS) allows to significantly simplify and automate the control of the robots. With the IMS an operator can develop a task (mission), test it, program the functioning of each robot, monitor the process execution and the technical condition of the elements of the complex robotic system, collect and process the incoming information, quickly correct the actions or change the mission completely.
It should be noted that Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade pays special attention to home equipment prototypes. Mikhail Ivanov, Director of the Ministry’s Department for Machine Tool Building and Investment Machine Building, emphasized the Ministry’s interest to encourage localization of high-tech manufacturing, increase the share of domestic components and develop offshore technologies.
