Gazprom Neft resumes regular bunkering of vessels with marine lubricants at the port of Ust-Luga (photo)
Gazpromneft–Lubricants, the Gazprom Neft oil business operator, says it has resumed regular bunkering of vessels with marine lubricants at the port of Ust-Luga. According to the statement, Gazpromneft Zuid deployed for that purpose has passed the required certification.
The company say that non-freezing port of Ust-Luga is among the key ports in the water area of the Baltic Sea Basin, therefore, round-the-year availability of high quality marine lubricants is of special importance for both Russian and foreign ship owners.
Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft PJSC specializing in production and sales of a wide range of engine, transmission, hydraulic and industrial oils, greases and technical fluids. It was established in November 2007. The company's six production sites are located in Russia, Italy and Serbia with overall production of 500,000 tons of high-quality oils, greases and technical fluids per year. The company controls 15% of the Russian lubricant market and also operates in the CIS and the Baltic, Europe, Central and Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and beyond. Today, Gazpromneft products are presented at 68 countries worldwide.
The port of Ust-Luga is a multi-purpose port located at the crossing point of two international transport corridors: North-South (Baltic, Black and Caspian Seas) and East-West (Europe-Asia). The port is situated in the south-western part of the Leningrad Region, in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. Navigation at the port is ensured round the year with the period of icebreaker assistance lasting for 40 days. In QI’2017, the port handled 22.335 mln t of cargo.
