ABP’s Scottish ports raise funds for RNLI and Fisherman’s Mission
ABP’s teams at Ayr and Troon have donated funds to RNLI and the Fisherman’s Mission raised by a successful open day at the Port of Troon.
A raffle combined with the efforts of ABP colleagues have raised a total of £800 which has been evenly split between both organisations. Representatives from both charities were invited to receive their cheques aboard Jim Moffat, an all-weather lifeboat at the Troon lifeboat station.
Stuart Cresswell, ABP Port Manager, Ayr and Troon, said: “We are committed to engaging with the local community and giving back to local charities, such as the RNLI and Fisherman’s Mission.
“Our ports keep Britain trading every day and we hope that by raising funds for the important work done by these charities, we will also continue to play our part in keeping our seas safe.”
