Inchcape Shipping Services announces temporary restrictions in the Port of Vitoria
Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) announces about the temporary restrictions impacting Sheds 201 and 202 in the Port of Vitoria, Brazil due to dredging services.
CODESA Port Authorities has informed us that the restrictions will be in place from 2 August as detailed below:
1. Temporary restrictions - Shed 202 and 30 meters from shed 203:
- The temporary restrictions will begin on 2 August 2017
- The dredging services required in this section is scheduled to last 15 working days
- Shed 201 will be available for moorings 200 meters from the docks, during this 15 day period
2. Temporary restrictions - Shed 202 and 60 meters from Shed 201:
- The temporary restrictions will begin after the work outlined above has been completed
- The dredging services required in this section is also scheduled to last 15 working days
- During this period, ships will be redirected to neighbouring berths where applicable
- Shed 201 will be available for moorings 200 meters from the docks
During this restricted period, cargo operations and maneuvers will be suspended. Each vessel and cargo will be assessed by the Port Authority to determine whether or not operations can be carried out as scheduled during this period.
Additionally, the Vitoria Channel will be closed from 7.00am to 2.00pm during the maintenance period.
