CLdN starts service between Zeebrugge and the Port of Hirtshals
Mid February, the shipping company CLdN starts up a service between Zeebrugge in Belgium and the Port of Hirtshals in northern Denmark.
By calling the Port of Hirtshals, CLdN will establish a direct connection between Northern Denmark and Zeebrugge. In parallel, a cooperation with Fjord Line and Color Line will also create a connection between the main Norwegian cargo hubs (Larvik, Kristiansand, Langesund, Stavanger & Bergen) and Zeebrugge, the company said in its press release.
CLdN’s new service to Hirtshals will begin with one weekly call, and carry both containers and trailers. The first sailing from Zeebrugge to Hirtshals will be on Sunday 14 February, calling the port of Hirtshals for a first time on Tuesday 16 February.
Besides transport to and from Northern Denmark, CLdN’s service will also develop the corridor between Norway, the North Atlantic and Central Europe through the cooperation with Color Line, Fjord Line and Smyril Line. Zeebrugge’s high frequency of sailings on UK-destinations also creates a cost-efficient transport solution for UK-loads from and to Hirtshals and Norway.
