Throughput of port Azov slightly down in Jan'16 to 310,000 t
In January 2016, seaport of Azov handled 310,000 t of cargo (-1%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 1.1% to 169,000 t. Transshipment of oil products fell by 7.9% to 58,000 t, coal – by 2.7% to 68,000 t.
In January 2016, exports fell by 10.7% to 278,000 t, imports – by 44.9% to 6,500 t. Coastal cargo traffic totaled 26,000 t while no coastal trade cargo was transshipped at the port in January 2015. On the contrary, no transit cargo was handled in January 2016 while in January 2015 – 500 t.
The number of incoming/outgoing ships amounted to 96/89 against 101/8 registered in Jan'16.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
