Troughput of port Rostov-on-Don down 4.8% to 1.8 mln t in QI'15
In January-March 2015, seaport Rostov-on-Don handled 1,839,000 t of cargo (-4.8%, year-on-year), port Harbour Master Pavel Zakharchenko told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products fell by 7.7% to 499,000 t, coal and coke – by 2.7% to 149,000 t, metal scrap – by 16.7% to 137,000 t, liquid food products – by 14.6% to 126,000 t. Meanwhile, transshipment of grain increased by 8.5% to 474,000, dry bulk non-grain cargo – by 13% to 341,000 t.
In the reported period, loading declined by 4.2% to 1,673,000 t, unloading – by 8.3% to 167,000 t as the number of calls declined by 5.7%, year-on-year.
477 incoming and 481 outgoing vessels were registered in QI'15 against 496 and 510 vessels in QI'14.
