Wallenius nominated to Environmental Performance Award
Along with Alfa Laval, Eidesvik, DFDS and others, Wallenius has been nominated to the Environmental Performance Award issued by Marine Propulsion. The prize ceremony will be held at the annual event Marine Propulsion Conference in London late April, the company said in its press release.
The prize will be “awarded to a company, ship owner/operator or maritime institution that has pioneered and/or demonstrated a marine engineering solution for better vessel environmental performance”. Wallenius is nominated for its continuous and consistent dedication to dealing with environmental issues and challenges. Its commitment includes a pledge to decrease CO2 emissions by 30 per cent between 2007 and 2015.
