ASOP includes TRANSTEC 2014 into ASOP 2014 Annual program
TRANSTEC 2014 ports, shipping conference and exhibition program have been discussed in St.Petersburg at the General Annual Conference of the Association of Sea Commercial Ports (ASOP) 21 March 2014 in St.Petersburg. Based on the Partnership Agreement with ASOP, dated 25 March, 2004, it was stated, within this 10 years TRANSTEC 2014 has become a professional B2B port dialogue platform and is organized with close cooperation with companies-ASOP members, providing industry expertise to the events. ASOP annual conference voted to include TRANSTEC 2014 ports, shipping conference and exhibition to ASOP 2014 Annual program, which involves ASOP Directorate and Committee for port technique and mechanization of ASOP. In addition to this, the interest to participate in TRANSTEC 2014 ports, shipping conference and exhibition program was expressed also by: National Chamber of shipping of Russia in its annual Conference in Moscow 05 March,2014, Directorate for sea and inland waterways shipping of Turkmenistan Republic, Nenets Region Administration, Transport Committee of Karelia Republic, Agency for economic development of the Government of Leningrad Region.
The Region includes main Russian ports in Baltic Sea, including Ust-Luga, Vygotsky, Primorsk, and Vyborg. By the opinion of the Minister of energy, infrastructure and regional development of Mecklenburg-Pomerania Region(Germany) , expressed recently in St.Petersburg, Leningrad region and Germany does have a big cargo traffic potential to develop. Mecklenburg-Pomerania is working to attract more cargo flows to Russia via it’s ports. The Germany General Consul in St.Petersburg has explained on same occasion, Hamburg and Zassnits ports are very active in cooperation with ports of Leningrad region and St.Petersburg.
