M/V FESCO Primorye commences operation at FESCO’s short sea service
M/V FESCO Primorye has commenced operation at FESCO’s short sea service. According to the press release of FESCO Transportation Group, the vessel joined the Group’s fleet in last September (former name Malachite).
Upon completion of the repair works and renaming of the vessel in early March 2014, she commenced operations at the short sea line Vladivostok – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
FESCO Primorye can carry general, dry bulk cargo and containers. The vessel’s ice class enables her to operate at freezing ports. FESCO Primorye equipped with two 50-tonne electrohydraulic cranes is able to carry out discharge over undeveloped beaches.
«Thus, FESCO now has its own full-strength short sea unit with sister ships FESCO Pevek, FESCO Posiet, FESCO Pioneer and FESCO Primorye», the statement says.
