Concrete casting at Prirazlomnaya offshore drilling rig completed
Extensive work for concrete casting at Prirazlomnaya offshore ice-resistant fixed platform has been completed, the press-service of Sevmash reported.
During recent 1.5 months some 53,800 cbm of concrete have been poured in the bottom of the platform. More than 3,300 people are employed for the project, 1,100 of them are Sevmash employees. Currently, the workers are engaged in cable laying, start-up and adjustment of turbo units, diesel-driven pumps and other equipment, installation of control and automation systems. A few days ago began testing of the platform helipad.
"Prirazlomnaya" platform will be the main facility for development of Prirazlomnaya offshore oil deposit in the Pechora Sea shelf. The platform will provide drilling and oil production year-round, storage and shipping of crude oil.
