Igor Rusu to head "Lenmorniiproekt"
Igor Rusu has been appointed General Director of JSC "Lenmorniiproekt" effective June 15, 2011, the state-run company told PortNews. Igor Rusu took over the office at the St. Petersburg-based marine ports design firm after he left the post of General Director of Rosmorport on June 1st.
Earlier, Rosmorport has acquired a 80.21-percent stake in Lenmorniiproekt formerly owned by TransBunker company. The buyout deal was approved by FAS, an antitrust agency of Russia.
Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport was established in 2003. The company manages federal assets in the ports of Russia, including sea berths, and operates the world's largest icebreaker fleet of 26 diesel-electric icebreakers. The company employs more than 5,000 people in 16 regions of Russia.
JSC Lenmorniiproekt is the first in Russia specialized governmental organization for the design of seaports. It was founded in 1885. The company provides services in marine, coastal, civil engineering, etc.
