MSC to hike rate US$200/TEU - $300/FEU on Euro-Med to US on July 7
MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Company (MSC) is to raise its general rate for cargo from Mediterranean ports to the United States by US$200 per TEU and $300 per FEU effective July 7, Shippingonline reported.
The shipments will apply to routes from Italy, Spain, Portugal, the south of France, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania to the United States. The hike follows other carrier increases on transatlantic trades from northern Europe to the Mediterranean to Canada and Mexico beginning in July,
Additionally, it will increase rates on routes to and from Israel to the US by $250/TEU and $300/FEU as of July 1.
