Singapore port’s cargo volume grows 6.3% to 221,69m tons
Throughput of the port of Singapore in January-May of 2011 increased by 6.3% compared with the same period of last year, to 221,69 million tons, the Port Authority said. Crude oil shipment rose by 8.1% to 79,79 million tons.
Five-month container trade of the port grew 3.7% to 12,1 million TEUs. In May, container volume was up 8.1% to 2,57 million TEUs.
