RZD, Siemens set to develop fastest maglev train by 2030
Russian Railways (RZD), Siemens and several South Korean companies plan to create by 2030 a high-speed train using magnetic levitation, said Alexander Korchagin, head of RZD’s Innovations Center, the BBC reported.
The high-speed train will be designed for nearly 1000 km/h (over 600m/h) cruising speed. However, the project will very much depend on funding, the RZD representative said.
