New terminal for transshipment of tropical oil put into operation at Yuzhny Commercial Seaport
New terminal for transshipment of tropical oil has been put into operation at Yuzhny Commercial Seaport (Ukraine), RBC-Ukraine reports. The terminal’s capacity is 500 thou tons per year. The terminal is a part of a palm oil refining complex, which is still under construction. The complex is to refine 1 million tons of palm oil per year. The second phase implies finalization of the plant for refining of tropical oils to be supplied from Malaysia and Indonesia. Its design capacity is 1.5 thou tons per day. Technologically treated oils are to be used by food industries of Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan and Georgia as well as other CIS countries and states of East and Central Europe. The complex is estimated to be costing about $27 million. Project implementation consists of two phases. The first phase comprises the terminal, pipeline, reservoir tank farm with a capacity of almost 40 thou tons, railway and highway overpasses. The construction is carried out by Ukraine-Singapore company Delta-Wilmar-SNG.
