Yenisey Shipping Company transported 4.1 million tons of cargo in 2006
According to preliminary estimations, Yenisey Shipping Company and its subsidiaries (Krasnoyarsk River Port OJSC and Lesosibirsky Port OJSC) transported 4.141 million tons of cargo in 2006. Norilsk Novosti say final results of 2006 navigation to be announced later. The last fleet was led from Dudinka by push-tug vessels: Nickolai Ignatyuk, Director Novoselov, ОТ-2034 and Alexamder Sibiryakov. This year, leadout of the fleet form the North was complicated by early ice formation in the lower reaches if Yenisey. Major customers of YSC OJSC are Norilsk Nickel OJSC, forest harvesting companies of the region and administration of the Northern regions. Among new large customers of this year is Vankorneft CJSC (over 100 thou tons of cargo over this year navigation). Currently, technical maintenance is being carried out in order to prepare the fleet for winter. 50% of the fleet has been prepared for winter already. The vessels requiring extensive repairs are under preparation for the next navigation already.
