Alien Group of companies to build cargo-and-passenger port in Sosnovy Bor (Leningrad Region)
Alien Group of companies plans to build cargo-and-passenger port in Sosnovy Bor (Leningrad Region) to a cost of EURO 15-30 million, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner. Press center of Sosnovy Bor Administration reports the port is to include passenger and cargo terminals as well as a yacht complex. The construction is to be finalized by 2009. According to project developers new port will accept tourist vessels from Saint Petersburg, Peterhoff and Ust-Luga as well as from Kotka and Helsinki. Besides tourism the port will contribute to arrangement of regular passenger routs between Sosnovy Bor and Saint Petersburg in summer navigation. Everything is to depend on supply of the company owners and availability of stable demand. Besides, the port complex will provide additional services on handling different types of cargo, press service reports.
