Hull of dry-cargo ship launched at Lotos Shipyard (Astrakhan)
Hull of dry-cargo ship project Marina for Rensen Shipbuilding B.V. Company (Netherlands) was launched at Lotos Shipyard (Astrakhan). According to MNP group’s press release, the contract between MNP group and Rensen Shipbuilding B.V. was signed early in 2006. Under this contract the order should be fulfilled within 2006. Marina-type river container vessel is intended for transportation of standard large-capacity containers and dry bulk cargo. The vessel’s basic characteristics: maximum length – 110.0 m, breadth – 11.45/11.40 m, depth – 5.1 m, draft – 3.55 m, weight – 660.0 tons. The ship will be operated in the inland waterways of Europe. The hull will be towed to the Netherlands for fitting-out.
