Hamburg to participate in the project of Saint-Petersburg Marine Facade
"The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is interested in participation in the project of the Marine Façade of Saint Petersburg", - doctor Freitag, Hamburg senator supervising economic issues, said at the meeting with the Marine Façade management in Munich, IA REGNUM reports. The senator viewed the model of the future passenger terminal and discussed territory reclamation at Vasilievsky Island with the project management. Insurance, investment and construction companies of Hamburg are interested in participation, Freitag said after the meeting - I think we may meet next year for detail discussion, he added. Total area of reclaimed territory is to make 476.9 hectares. The complex is to include new passenger terminal, new business center and residential quarters. The project is linked to the construction of St Petersburg Western Diameter. The project of new Seaport Passenger Terminal construction in the western part of Vasilievsky Island was approved by Saint Petersburg authorities early in 2004. Transport Ministry of RF estimates investments into the project to make $1 billion (or $2 billion considering capital investments into real estate objects at reclaimed territory).
