Russian Railways: cargo tariff growth in 2007-2009
Russian Railways OJSC plans the increase of cargo transportation tariffs for 2007-2009 at the level of inflation growth rates, a Transport Ministry source told the reporters according to AK&M. The source commented on coming meeting of the RF Government, which is to discuss the company’s financial plan for the next three years. According to the source, tariff growth will make 8.5% in 2007, 7.5% - in 2008, 7% - in 2009. Growth rates in the sector of cargo transportation to make 8% in 2007, 6% - in 2008, 5.5% - in 2009. Besides, the source says indexation of tariffs for passenger transportation is to be below the level of population income growth: 12% in 2007, 11% in 2008 and 10% in 2009.
