Privolzhskaya Railway dispatches 31.7 million tons of cargo in M906
Through 9 months of 2006 Privolzhskaya Railway dispatched 31.7 million tons of cargo, PR service of PRW reports. Loading of cement grew by 11.1%, ferrous metals – by 4.5%, chemical and mineral fertilizers – by 0.9% against year-on-year result. Cargo turnover plan has been performed to 101.1% amounting to 53 billion 562.422 million ton-km. This result is 3.4% higher as compared with the similar period of the previous year. Volume of passenger transportation amounted to 4 billion 710.469 million passenger-km (+5.8% against year-on-year result considering average growth of 3.7%). Wagon turnover makes 3.37 days (+1.5% considering average growth of 0.7%). Average speed of the trains is 37.3 km/h (+3.5% considering average growth of 0.5%). Average weight of the train is 3649 tons (+1.1% considering average growth of 0.9%). Average daily production of a locomotive is 1 million 540 thou tkm (gross) which is +6.3% considering average growth – 2.5%). Labor efficiency growth is 7.7% against year-on-year result considering average growth of 6.6%.
