TS Lines to offer two new services: SJX 1 and HGX
TS Lines plans to offer the market two new services. The first is named the Shanghai/Japan Service (SJX 1 service) and has a port rotation of Shanghai, Osaka, Kobe, and Shanghai.The maiden voyage will be undertaken by the TS Yokohama, which is scheduled to arrive in Shanghai on October 26. The company said in a statement launching this new service will enable it to provide shippers 3-day rapid transit service between Shanghai and the Kansai region of Japan.The second service is named the Hyper Galex Service (HGX) and will link China, Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East, starting November 11.The port rotation will be: Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tianjin.HGX will provide a direct service from major Chinese ports to India and Middle East, and the first direct link between Tianjin, China, and Dammam, Saudi Arabia. For the eastbound leg, it will represent the line's first direct route offering between Cochin and north China.The company told the Shipping Gazette that one of the reasons it will launch the SJX 1 service is so it can connect with the HGX service, adding it will help to supply empty containers from Japan to Shanghai since Shanghai has a shortage of containers.TS Lines will deploy one vessel on this service named the TS Dubai with capacity of 3,100 TEU in collaboration with Emirates Shipping Line and Shipping Corporation of India.TS Lines presently owns 17 ships with capacities ranging from 1,000 to 3,100 TEU, and operates 16 services to 18 countries.
