Zvezdochka shipyard to manufacture screws for European companies
Zvezdochka shipyard of Severodvinsk has signed its record export order for production of propeller screws to a total amount of 20 million euros, the company’s press center reports according to RZD-Partner. The plant is to produce a series of large-size propellers ordered by European companies Stirprop an ABB Marine including screws for the largest cruise liner Genesis, which is currently under construction in Finland. The contract is to be performed through 2007-2009.
Zvezdochka is the leading Russian shipyard specializing in modernization and utilization of submarines. It is one of leading European manufacturers of marine propeller screws. According to the company’s press service, Zvezdochka has produced over 20 thou of different screws.
