The Obski-62 cargo motorship has stroke aground at the Svir river
The Obski-62 cargo motorship has stroke aground at the Svir river (Leningrad Region), regional press service of the Ministry of RF for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disasters Response reports according to RIA Novosti. The Obski-62 motorship owned by Arkhangelsk shipping company was sailing from Kandopogi to Voznesenskoje village for timber loading when it rammed into underwater rock chain that resulted in crack of the vessel’s ballast hull. The crew of 12 persons is onboard the vessel. No injury or oil products spill has been reported. Currently, the vessel is being tugged to repair facilities.
