JSC Russian Railways conjointly with the Coordination Council of the Transsiberian Transportation (CCTT) is working on attracting additional traffic volumes of cargo transportation via the Transsiberian Mainline, RZD’s press center reports.

To promote transportation services for cargo consignors from Europe, Asian and Pacific region JSC Russian Railways is working on creating a new service- European–Asian transportation. The new product will provide a full range of services, including route elaboration, transportation by sea, handling in a port, guarding, insurance, information support and other services. JSC Russian Railways guarantees high quality, high speed and punctuality of delivery.
Creation of the joint venture Russkaya Troyka by JSC Russian Railways and JSC The Far-Eastern Shipping Company is yet another example of attracting cargoes. Russkaya Troyka owns fitting platforms and containers and can use its own water crafts. This allows to transport cargos from the countries of Asian and Pacific region to Russia and Europe via the Transsiberian Mainline by the principle “from one door to another”.
Since 2005 Russkaya Troyka has been successfully transporting component parts of the Hyundai Motor Company from South Korea to the car assembly plant in Taganrog (Russia), competing with a shipping company, that brings cargoes through the port in Constantsa.
