Russia’s production of mineral fertilizers down 3.7% in Jan.-Sep. 2006
Russia’s production of mineral fertilizers amounted in January-September 2006 to 11.9 million tons (+3.7% against year-on-year result as converted into 100% of nutritive materials), Federal State Statistics Service reports according to AK&M agency. Production of apatite concentrate за amounted over the reported period to 3 million tons (-3% against January-September 2005). Production of synthetic resins and plastic masses grew by 3.7% to 2.6 million tons. Production of fibers and chemical thread fell by 5.8% to 113 thou tons. Production of synthetic rubber grew by 2.1% to 865 thou tons. Production of tires for motorcars, agricultural equipment, motorcycles and motor scooters decreased by 2.9% to 30 million.
