JSC Acron acquires 50.01% of Baltic Chemical Terminal stock
JSC Acron has acquired 50.01% of ordinary shares (50.01% of authorized capital) of Baltic Chemical Terminal (BCT, Tallinn, Estonia), PRIME-TASS reports. According to the agency’s earlier information, Acron Holding plans to build export sea terminal for transshipment of mineral fertilizers by 2009. Within the framework of the project development a cooperation agreement has been recently signed between Sillamae port (Estonia) and Baltic Chemical Terminal (BCT JSC).
Acron is a holding of companies manufacturing mineral fertilizers and organic synthesis products: JSC Acron (Veliky Novgorod, Russia), JSC Dorogobuzh (Smolensk region, Russia) and Shandong Hongri Acron Chemical Joint Stock Company, Ltd. (Shandong province, People's Republic of China). Production of fertilizers in natural units amounted in 2005 to 4.1 million tons (100.8% against 2004), ammonia – 1.7 million tons (104.7%), organic synthesis products /methanol, formalin, urea-formaldehyde resins) - 360 thou tons (104.2%), non-organic synthesis products – 3.7 million tons (105.1%).
