Emirates unveils Hyper Galex service
EMIRATES Shipping Line (ESL) will launch its Hyper Galex service November 11 linking China, South East Asia, India and the Middle East.
ESL will deploy six 3,1000-TEU ships, offering a 22.5-knot service that will open with the first direct route between Xingang in China and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. It will also provide a direct service between Cochin and north China.
OOCL and NYK/TSK will be co-loading as slot users. ESL will supply four of the six vessels while Shipping Corporation of India and TS Line will provide one ship each.
ESL chairman and CEO Vikas Khan said: "Hyper Galex provides comprehensive container shipping links between three of the world's fastest growing economic regions. With this in mind we have focused on providing a very wide port coverage." The port rotation will be: Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Xingang.
