Cargo turnover of Mariupol sea trade port (Ukraine) up 10.9% in Jan.-Sep.
Cargo turnover of the largest Ukrainian commercial seaports - Mariupol port amounted in January-September 2006 to 11.9 million tons, 10.3% growth against year-on-year result, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the port’s Administration. Cargo export grew over the reported period by 8.2% to 10 million tons, transit – by 4.8%, to 2.4 million tons. In particular, export of ferrous metals, grain and chemicals demonstrated growth within the reported period while export of clay and transit of sulfur decreased. In 2005 cargo transportation grew in Mariupol port by 0.02% to 14 million 774.4 thou tons, net profit – by 12.2% to 70 million gryvnas.
