Cargo turnover of Vladivostok Sea Trade Port up 36.7% in Jan.-Sep. y-o-y
Cargo turnover of Vladivostok Sea Trade Port OJSC (VSTP) amounted in January-September 2006 to 3204 thou tons, VSTP's PR direction reports. Export cargo amounted through the reported period to 1651.5 thou tons, import – 857.4 thou tons (+36.7% against year-on-year result), coastwise cargo – 695.1 thou tons (-12%). Through a nine-month period VSTP handled 2 447 vessels and 42 930 wagons.
Vladivostok Sea Trade Port OJSC is one of the largest seaports in the Far East of Russia. It specializes in handling of dry and liquid bulk cargo, timber and general cargo including containers. VSTP’s partners represent over twenty countries.
