Maersk unveils 11,000-TEU Estelle Maersk
THE A P Moller-Maersk Group's latest 11,000-TEU containership has been named the "Estelle Maersk".
A ship christening was held in the presence of company dignitaries as well as the Danish Minister for Transport and Energy, Flemming Hansen, at the group's Odense Steel Shipyard in Denmark.
Like her slightly older sister, the Emma Maersk, the Estelle Maersk will after delivery be used on one of the line's worldwide services, a company statement said.
Estelle Maersk will be registered in Hellerup, Denmark, and will be commanded by Captain Lars Peter Jensen with Torben Jorgensen as chief engineer.
