Cargo turnover of the railway grew by 9.4% to 130 billion 43.6 million tons per kilometer. In January-September the railway loaded 32 million 747.8 thou tons. Total length of GRW (From Petushki station of Vladimir region to Druxhinino station of Sverdlovsk region) is 5734 kilometers. Total track is 12086 kilometers. The railway’s specific feature is a predominance of transit transportation (its specific weight in cargo turnover of the railway is 87%) and large volumes of passenger transportation. GRW consists of five departments: Murom, Gorki, Kirov, Kazan and Izhevsk. The railway comprises 375 passenger stations of different class and 250 cargo stations. GRW also owns 10 locomotive facilities and 11 wagon depots, 31 fuel bases and 34 points for locomotive servicing points.
