Cargo flows into and out of Baku International Sea Port fell 35.4%
During January and February, shipment flow into and out of Baku International Sea Trade Port totaled 732,800 tons, down 35.4% from the same period a year earlier.
The volume of international transit cargos went down 31.8%, exports plunged 55.3% and imports dipped 46% in this period, State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
At the end of January-February period 1,600 tons of cargos were left in the dock pending shipment.
In total, the volume of maritime transit fell 22.8%, year-on-year, to 1.6mln tons of cargo in Azerbaijan during this period.
62.1% of the processed cargo were oil-related shipments and 37.9% were dry cargo. Goods turnover fell 15.6% to 1 billion tons/ km in the maritime transport during this period.
