First phase of dry container port in Odessa to be put into operation in April
First phase of a dry container port in the commercial seaport of Odessa to be put into operation in April, the company’s press center reports according to Ukraine Industrial.
Dry port is located at filtration fields of Odessa close to the port. First 40% of the object’s facilities cover 20 of 50 hectares. The object is designed for storage of empty containers as well as container trucks going to the port of Odessa. On finalization of the project it is to get a function of a customs storage facilities. Corresponding negotiations with Ukraine’s state customers service have been held already. The value of the project is to total about $110 million including $30 million falling on the port. The rest of the sum has been allocated by private investors. The project is to be finalized with construction of a highway crossover designed for leading of motorcar flows from dry port directly to the port of Odessa. The construction of the crossover will take about a year and a half.
