Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard started building tanker DWT 13,000 for Palmali Group
Tanker project 19619 for Palmali Group was laid down at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, MNP Group. The contract for construction of the tanker was signed in March.
The tanker is capable of operating in different climatic conditions, in regions of moderate cold marine climate. Its length is 150 m, width – 17.30 m, depth – 10.5 m, draught – 6.99 m, loaded speed is 10 knots, sea endurance is 20 days. This is the largest vessel in the Caspian Sea, capable of entering any port and put into other seas through Volga-Don Ship Canal without port terminal re-equipment.
The river-sea-going tanker is designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products with flash point less than 60оС. The vessel is capable of carrying two types of cargoes in a voyage. Class of the vessel - КМ Л1 I I А1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
This is the eighth tanker of the project, to be built at the Yard. Five tankers were built for Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company (KASPAR) - “President Geidar Aliev”, “Babek”, "Shah Ismael Khatai", "Koroglu", " Dede Qorqud" (it was delivered to the customer in September, 2006). Tanker “Makhmud Afandi” was built at the Yard for Safinat An-Najaat Shipping Company Limited; the second tanker for this company is being built. In February, 2007 Palmali Group and Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard signed the contract for construction of ten chemical tankers project PST22 DWT 6,900 mt.
