Fire on Color Line’s Peter Wessel
Color Line car and passenger ferry the Peter Wessel was expected at Fredrikshavn late morning today after a fire in an electrical panel at 06.40 hours on Thursday morning. The fire was quickly controlled and the 346 passengers, who were evacuated from their cabins into the main restaurant, remained onboard and will depart at Fredrikshavn. The fire started off Hirtshals in Denmark as the Peter Wessel was on her way from Larvik on a scheduled sailing. According to Color Line’s Helge Otto Mathiesen it is too early to establish what caused the fire.
