NYK is consolidating two of its logistics arms
NYK is consolidating two of its logistics arms. JIT Corp and NYK Logistics Japan Co will become incorporated under the latter’s title.
JIT, an NVOCC arm of NYK since 1983, is being sacrificed for its long-term customer relations, which the new unit will leverage off as a third party logistics player under NYK’s recent business plan to be the world’s largest integrated carrier.
An NYK spokesman said: “By integrating the two units NYK Logistics Japan can introduce its advanced know-how of supply chain solutions to our long-term customers who have been faithfully served over the last 23 years.”
