Annual growth of export via Russia/Finland border stations is about 9.4%, Viktor Stepov, head of Oktyabrskaya Railways, said at the II Russia/Finland Economic Forum in Petrozavodsk, according to PR Service of ORW. One forth of foreign trade cargo transported by Oktyabrskaya Railways via border crosses falls on transfer stations between Russia and Finland, Stepov says. According to him, positive dynamics was stable through last years. Owing to active development of Russia-Finland economic relations further growth of transportation is expected via border stations. Besides, attraction of transit cargo flow from China, Korea and other Asian countries to Finland will have favorable effect on loading of border crosses. According to estimations, cargo transportation is to grow by 54% through 2010, by 70% through 2015, and by 82% through 2020 82 % as compared with 2005 result, Stepov noted.
