Senator Lines expands schedule
Only three months after reducing its capacity, as part of its Concept 2007, the German container shipping line is expanding its current schedule of twelve regular services to include its new ESX Europe-South America service
On 20 March the CSCL Napoli will begin the first southbound departure on the ESX service in Rotterdam. The first northbound voyage will start with the same vessel on 8 April in Buenos Aires.
A total of six 2,700 TEU container ships, in cooperation with K-Line, China Shipping, Hatsu Marine and Maruba, will link northern Europe with the east coast of South America, with weekly departures, on the following rotation:
Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Santos – Buenos Aires – Montevideo – Rio Grande – São Francisco do Sul – Santos – Rotterdam
“Through the ESX we are offering an attractive north-south link in the scope of our regional services. It has two plus points: it includes Montevideo as a direct port of call, and its rotation enjoys improved transit times”, says Mark Ehlers, Head of Operational Management.
This service was the subject of an internal presentation to our partner agencies at the end of February in the course of an extraordinary annual conference, under overall charge of the new Lines Management.
“The atmosphere at this conference – the first to be held by our sales organisation after the implementation of the Concept 2007 – and the working results were very positive”, says CEO Hans-Hermann Mohr.
“Definitely the ESX is not only a further service for our customers; it also indicates that we are off to a flying start again and that, following our internal reorganisation, we can concentrate fully on the market and on our services.”
