APL, the global container shipping arm of Singaporean transportation and logistics group NOL, will begin co-operating with Mediterranean Shipping Company and MOL from next month on the US east coast to the east coast of South America service.
The service will call weekly at Norfolk, Philadelphia, New York and Baltimore in the US, and Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Sao Francisco do Sul and Salvador on the east coast of South America, a statement from APL said.
To coincide with the launch of this service, APL will discontinue its existing co-operation with Maersk Line on the NASA service which will exit the trade after its last sailing from Santos on April 14.
APL will also discontinue its deal with Hamburg Sud on the Tango service, following a final sailing from Suape on April 12.
