Sino-Vietnamese railway transports 160pc more cargo in January
The Sino-Vietnamese railway customs checkpoint in Pingxiang, Guangxi, handled 84,000 tons of cargoes in January, an increase of 160 per cent compared to the same month last year, Xinhua reports.
In 2006, total trade volumes handled by the Pingxiang checkpoint grew by a 45 per cent to 684,700 tons of cargo. This was the largest annual volume of cargo carried on the Sino-Vietnamese railway since it recommenced operations in 1996.
